NICOLA ROCCO (ITA)

Breast surgical oncologist and assistant professor at the University of Naples Federico II (Naples, Italy) since January 2022.
He previously worked as Chief of the Breast Surgical Unit of the Malzoni Cancer Center - MACC (Avellino, Italy).
He obtained his Medical Degree at University Federico II of Naples in 2005 and the Specialization in General Surgery at the same University in 2012.
He obtained a PhD in Advanced Biomedical and Surgical Therapies at the University of Naples in cooperation with the National Research Council, studying the potential applications of 3D-printing and regenerative medicine in the field of breast reconstruction.
He was Research Fellow at “Fondazione Umberto Veronesi” with the project
“Engineered Breast Reconstruction”. He attended the Plastic Surgery Unit headed by Dr. Maurizio Bruno Nava at National Cancer Institute in Milan (Italy), perfectioning his skills in breast reconstruction.
He also obtained a Master in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery at the University of Genova (Italy) and the Certificate of Competence in Breast Cancer at the University of Ulm (Germany).

PhD in Tocogynecology from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the State University of Campinas. Specialist in Clinical Cytology by the Brazilian Society of Clinical Cytology. Post-Doctorate in the Department of Tocogynecology, Faculty of Medical Sciences, State University of Campinas. She is currently Full Professor in Clinical Cytology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Federal University of Goiás. She regularly publishes in journals indexed in pubmed/medline and/or Lilacs, with 41 articles indexed in Medline/pubmed with an H index of 16 (Web of Science- 2023). She is a regular reviewer for the journals Diagnostic Cytolpathology, RBGO, Acta Cytologica, Plos One.

Tadahiko Shien MD, Ph.D. (JPN)

Dr. Tadahiko Shien MD, Ph.D. (Ph.D.-surgical medicine) is a director of the Breast and Endocrine Surgery Department at Okayama University Hospital and the JCOG Breast Cancer Study Group chair. He is a surgical oncologist researching the treatment strategy for de-novo stage IV breast cancer (PI of JCOG1017 study) and Oligometastasis. His clinical and research interests primarily focus on breast surgical oncology, tumor biology, clinical trials, and translational research. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Japan Surgical Society (JSS), Japan Society of Clinical Oncology (JSCO), Japan Breast Cancer Society (JBCS), Japan Society of Medical Oncology (JSMO), International Society of Surgery (ISS), Japan Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Society (JOBSS), Japan Association of Endocrine Surgery (JAES), and Breast Surgery International (BSI). His board-certified specialties are JSS, JSCO, and JAES, and the Board of JBCS and JAES. He is an associate editor of BMC Women’s Health, Frontier in Oncology, and Oncology letters.

VERA APARECIDA SADDI (BRA)

Vera Saddi has a degree in Biological Sciences – Medical Modality (Biomedicine) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (1981), a Master's degree in Science from the University of Victoria (Canada-1994) and a PhD degree in Physiology from the University of São Paulo (Brazil – 2004). She was a researcher at the Association to Combat Cancer in Goiás – Hospital Araújo Jorge, from 1995 to 2018. She is a professor at the School of Medical and Life Sciences at PUC Goiás, since 1982, in the areas of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has experience in the area of Oncogenetics and Molecular Biology of Cancer, working mainly on the following topics: Human Papillomavirus (HPV), cancers associated with HPV, epidemiological studies about HPV in cancers associated with the virus and molecular markers associated with breast cancer. She was Coordinator of the Master's Program in Genetics and Vice-Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Sciences and Health, both at PUC Goiás. In 2017, she received the Scientific Merit Award for Leadership and Relevance of Contributions in Research from PUC Goiás. She supervises Course Completion, Master's and Doctorate students at PUC Goiás and presents relevant international publications in her area of expertise.
